Way too powerful an image here…
This speaks volume about the standards expected in society on how one should look. And how young we begin to be bombarded with these standards…

I can’t remember the amount of times of cried while grabbing at my fat and wishing I could cut it off. It started when I was eight. This picture and the meaning behind it is so, so important.

persephone-falls asked: Poinsettia, locust, azalea :)

Answer:

MIA! I haven’t forgotten this, I’ve just been so busy! Thank you for asking :)

Poinsettia (fav holiday food): Hmmmmm….for Thanksgiving it’s a tie between green bean casserole and stuffing, though I am allergic to green beans haha. I could eat stuffing for dayyyys. Oh and apple crisp, nom

Locust (fav book as a child): When I was too young to read I distinctly remember making my mom read me this Bert and Ernie book where they were cavemen over and over again to the point that I remember her giving it to my dad and being like “You read it to her, I can’t take it anymore!” haha. Some joke in it used to make me laugh and laugh. Then after that I loved the Animorph series. And then I fell in love with Harry Potter, even though I didn’t want to read it in the beginning. But I was his age when I started reading them, and I felt like I grew up with the kids in the book and that was pretty cool. I was also reading and loving Anne Rice around the same time, but you can’t really grow up with vampires, they’re just always the same.

Azalea (movie you cried whilst watching): I never used to cry during books or movies even if I was really emotionally into it, but now as I get older I cry at everything. There must be some scientific hormone thing involved, because seriously I cry ALL THE TIME now. But one I distinctly remember crying during was Moulin Rouge, which is one of my favs <3
